The Big Buddha 天坛大佛

A trip to Hong Kong is not complete if you have not paid The Big Buddha a visit. I took the Ngong Ping 360 cable car with amazing views over the Lantau Island together with the travel concierge, Klook Here I visited the Ngong Ping village, Po Lin Monastery and explored the Tai O village. It was truly an amazing experience to see the tallest, outdoor statue of a seated Buddha and for the first time in a long while I prayed and donated to the temples which made me miss my family back home.

The weather was beautiful and in that very moment I felt so peaceful and comfortable to be in the presence.

Tickets on Klook are discounted and it allows you to skip the ticketing line which was very convenient for us. I recommend you to come early since this a popular attraction during the weekends and to buy tickets beforehand. So glad we did not join the long snake queue. First time users even get an additional discount 🙂 For any of Klook’s attraction tickets, the biggest draw is the discounts and the ease of using the ticket. We simply booked a day ahead and rocked up to the attraction with a screenshot of the ticket using a QR code.

I couldn’t ask for a more relaxing experience. Life in general is so fast-paced and here everything was just peaceful.
