KISS KISS FROM PARIS WITH GUERLAIN
Bonjour, all the way from Sydney!
The trip to Paris was sudden, but oh so sweet. After spending 26 hours on a plane from Oslo to Sydney it didn’t take long until we realised it was only going to be a couple of hours of sleep before we were back on the road again. Less than 12 hours after we landed, Tsutsumi was on the plane to Paris. We were invited by Guerlain for an exclusive launch of Guerlain’s iconic lipstick: Kiss Kiss Matte.
The day started at 6am checking into Le Pavillon De La Reine, an amazing hotel located in the heart of the capital. This dreamy hotel has its own Parisian Balcony which instantly made our morning. With flowers and a welcoming note, CANDID was all set for a trip down Champs-Elysées. The experience started outside Guerlain’s flagship store where we got taken on a journey through its rich fragrance history. Then we had a delicious brunch at Le 68 Guy Martin located underneath the boutique. Here we got introduced to a splendid food experience infused with Guerlain’s different fragrances.
KISS KISS MATTE SHOOT
After lunch it was duked for a master class together with José Luis, before a photo shoot with each influencer back at the hotel. We think the photos turned out great and also captured the modern woman of Guerlain. What are your thoughts?
Later in the evening, we got invited to dinner on a Parisian rooftop hosted by Guerlain. It was nothing but amazing to see the Eifell tower from a distance. The perfect ending was when everyone got to release balloons and see it disappear into the sky. A very special moment in great company.
Prior to the event, influencers got a quiz to answer. Based on the given answers; Guerlain could determine what lipstick colour to assign to the right woman. Tsutsumi got the Flaming Rose (M375), but ended up using Wild Plum (M377) on the day. The difference between the two is not that major, the Flaming Rose is lighter in shade. Despite for being matte, the lipsticks has a balmy texture that are soft on the lips. Kiss Kiss Matte lipsticks has a lovely scent, great pigments and are very comfortable. Tsutsumi only had to top-up twice during the entirety of the eventful day. You can find the Kiss Kiss Matte lipsticks at KICKS.
The collection is also available at Sephora and David Jones in Australia.
