Located at beautiful Nikki Beach Porto Heli everything was scheduled for a perfect launch of Olympus Pen E-PL8. Influencers from all over Europe got invited to the exclusive launch in Greece for workshops, testings and activities. Nikki Beach’s hotel is well known for its exquisite interior and combined with perfect weather – the hotel was the perfect place to shoot and test the new camera. Around this time last year, I travelled together with Maybelline to New York City for the first time during fashion week. I had the greatest time with the Scandinavian influencers and it’s an experience I will never forget. Have a look back at one of the best kickoffs for 2016! Hope you like it!

FTC: Invited by Maybelline for NYFW, but video is made strictly for memories.

MY NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTION: Be More Creative

New year means new resolutions of refining ourselves. It’s easy to create a list on how to make the new year more successful. However, are we good at keeping up with it?

My New Year’s resolutions tend to be smoothly functioning in the first month, but eventually end up in oblivion and I revert back to my bad habits. This time I will set up requirements that I know could stick to. The solution is to simply make easier, *cough* more realistic *cough* resolutions such as; become more creative.

PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!

An artist does not become talented overnight. It requires hard work and practice to master a creative skill. In fact, that will be the very first thing a professional artist will tell you. In my creative years, I used to spend 2-3 hours of my everyday life to simply draw. Not only did I develop my own drawing style, but I also noticed improvements in different areas, and by this I mean, my creative skills increased massively. Lately, I have not had time to practice, and it is crucial! In this year I want to make up for all the lost time. I know that there’s so much more to learn and to improve on, so practice is key.

BE MORE OPEN-MINDED

Be open-minded! Creativity has no boundaries or rules. If you’re only doing what you are used to doing, then how can you grow? Have a taste on new ideas and think outside the box.

LEARN FROM EACH OTHER

There is just something beautiful about two creative souls (in one room) sharing the same interest. I’ve noticed that when I’m working or hanging out with my creative friends, regardless of what industry they work in, it instantly boosts my creative thinking. And as I’ve discovered, I absorb new tips and tricks through advice and feedback from creatives. This year I want to surround myself with creative minds. Whether its hanging out at a coffee shop to sketch or attending a concert together, all in all, birds of a feather flock together.

DON’T BE AFRAID TO TAKE CHANCES & EMBRACE FAILURE

What I’ve been struggling with the most in recent years is a fear of failure. I always tell myself that my ideas aren’t good enough, or that I will get criticized for lack of originality. I think the main problem is the fear of delivering something half-ass, which my critical self cannot handle. So because of that, I have kept most of my art hidden from humankind. However, I’ve come to the realization that I no longer want to feel self-conscious. What I look as rubbish; someone else might find beauty in. So why the heck not? Besides, how can I improve if I have never experienced rejection? Failure gives me the chance to learn and grow. I say, don’t be disheartened and just put your creativity out there for the world to see!

img_17988– Goals to reach in 2017 –
  • Finish at least five sketchbooks this year.
  • Create at least five videos this year.
  • Draw a little bit every day.
  • Take commissions and do art-related projects.
  • Invest in my hobbies.

In collaboration with INGLOT

I’m very excited to finally be able to announce this! Back in August I teamed up with the rad makeup brand INGLOT to make something creative. Together we created something between artistic and beauty, and that’s how this dreamy film came through! I am humbled and grateful for this fun experience and I hope you like it too.

For those new to INGLOT – it’s a world leading makeup brand. INGLOT offers a large collection of innovative products, colors, textures and high-quality makeup, and the prices are reasonable! Also worth mentioning that their products aren’t tested on animals at all. Thumbs up!

– THE PERFECT CHRISTMAS GIFT FOR A BEAUTY JUNKIE –

Wondering what you’re going to get that friend that is obsessed with makeup and skincare? I am a beauty junkie myself and would love if someone gifted me these things! Have a look below 🙂

My favourite product from INGLOT is definitely the HD Lip Tint. It’s a liquid lipstick, which is extremely long lasting and doesn’t smudge throughout the day. I have it in three different shades, but you can find more of it here. The ‘HD Lip Tint in shade 12’ will make any girl look glamorous for the Holidays!

The next thing on my favorite list is The Freedom System. It’s a unique palette system that gives you the opportunity to put together your personal makeup sets, with hundreds of possibilities and variations. You can select the size of the palette, and then select content among eyeshadows, lipsticks, concealers, blush, contour and high lighters, the list goes on! I like how you can pick your personal favorites and play around with your creativity. I’ve never had so much fun with makeup, and I don’t think you can find a system like this as you do with INGLOT.

Happy holidays!

tsumi-white-shorts

The winter might be full on here in Europe, but since our online magazine is international; our Australian readers will probably find this post of great interest!

When packing for a vacation (whether its for the weekend or getaway roadtrip) I always make sure to pick pieces that I know can be used more than once to save space for other items. Back in Greece I wanted to bring with me something that was not only effortless, but easy to style and had a great fit. My white denim shorts was a perfect choice and I wore it to several occasions such as the beach, on a cruise and activities after sunset.

THE BOHO ONE

Have fun and spice your white denim shorts with accessories! The more the merrier.
